i think , you are trying to install opendx for windows , if that is so ,the readme ask to install 4.1.1-cygwin. try to find it anyother verson of cygwin will not work.

i run tcsh dxworker and i got the message GYCXPM-X4.DLL not found

I checked the list again and downloader xpm-nox-4.1.0-1

run tcsh again and got the message:error cant open display unix:0

i started X manually and run tcsh dxworker from a terminal on X

The Open dx opening screen came along as well as the menu (run, edit, tutorial, etc)

but when i selected run, edit or tutorial i got an error message:

unable to connect to dxexec(for example)

_dxl_ReadPortNumber:Bad file descriptor

timeout waiting for response from DX

exec:usr/lpp/dx/bin/dxworker not found

 

The dx command continued to produce the same message:exec: .../dxworker not found

Could you please help me?

My suspicion is that i havent install something that creates a lpp dir.

My paths are ok.In fact i have put almost everything in usr/ as a path
