Q: anyone out there using DX for statistical counting of logfile
entries?
-- I had been working with SGI's MineSet and was able to make a simple
2d/3d chart of 'page requested' and 'ip/hostname' (with the Z axis
incrementing on duplicate entries)- it was a nice way of looking at
this data. From what I can tell about briefly looking at the DX
modules, it would involve a counting or indexing function, but will DX
count/bin string data? I think MineSet had some built-in statistical
datamining features that may not be in DX. (?? anyone used MineSet and
can compare?)
