Dear All,
after many of these messages about OpenDx on a Windows system (I have
posted one too, a couple of months ago), one question arises: is there
someone on the earth who really succeded in installing OpenDx on some
flavour of Windows & Cygwin and really uses it routinely for everyday
visualization tasks? If this person exists, please let us know how you did
(with as much detail as you can)! If no one really knows how to run OpenDx
on Windows, please let us know, so we stop loosing our time!
Thank you very much!
Andrea
It is not still available, your best bet would be trying to compile it
yourself on cygwin.

Hello,
I'm trying to install OpenDx on a Windows XP machine (cygwin 1.3.22,
XFree86 4.3.0 and lesstif). I've tried using opendx-4.1.3-cygwin.tar.gz
(for cygwin 1.1) but it doesn't seem to work. When I try to start
dx -edit, I get the error message:
'Internal error detected at "MacroDefinition.C":631'.
I found several questions on this mailing list archive about this
problem, and what seems to have solved it for one user was to
install opendx from opendx-4.1.3-2-WIN32-setup.zip instead of
opendx-4.1.3-cygwin.tar.gz
I would like to try the same solution, but I have not been able
to find opendx-4.1.3-2-WIN32-setup.zip. Is it still possible for me
to download it? If so, where can I download it from? I couldn't find
it on the opendx.org download page.
Or are there better solutions for this problem? E.g. are there opendx
binaries for cygwin 1.3?
I'd appreciate any suggestions.
Thank you very much,
Shan-Ho
