The default behaviour of DX is to interpret any UNLIMITED dimension as
the time variable. If X is of format (NX,NY,unlimited) then it should be
interpreted as a series by default.

I've also documented some cases where I've helped some people get their
data right for OpenDX. But neither data set is a time series though.
