It seems to be in the form t,x,y, rather than x,y,t, based on the interpretation of the DESCRIBE output. Did you see that ... what did you think?

ncdump -h is your friend together with the examples in the above manual.
I've also documented some cases where I've helped some people get their
data right for OpenDX. But neither data set is a time series though.
