Hi All, Made contact with VA Hospital in Portland. This contact is on the operations side of the VA EHR system. Will seek to expand this to the Project Manager or representative on the design side.
Rationale: The new VA EHR system is being proposed as a public standard (by the VA), many of the same issues (e.g., privacy and security) have been addressed, and they handle a lot of Patients. Made contact with a local hospital ITG that is currently handling a HIPAA implementation. Rationale: Nice to get an organization involved that has lots of Patients and a finger on the HIPAA pulse.
