----------------------------- Documentation is incomplete, not versioned and hard to get -----------------------------
I am using the revised final draft of CEN/TS 14796, december 2003. versioned, how to get: See for example the definition of an open standard XHTML1: You can find it here: http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/ You can find pointers to previous version also there, you can find the differences with previous versions there. The last point is important for people which use the standard, for re-documentation for other public, and in developing. Both are very important for testing a standard in a more public environmet, and makes adoptance of a standard more likely. Incomplete: the data-objects do not have all properties and methods defined in that document. As it explains in the introduction, it is not wholly compatible with HL7. It leaves it to the implementor to decide which methods are to be used, what are the parameters, what/where is the explanation of the methods. Where can I find the HL7 documentation where I should look about how to implement the datatypes. Which version of HL7 should I use exactly. Or does 14796 changes when the opinions at the HL7-defining organsiation changes? -------------------------------- More issues to follow, now I must earn my living Kind regards Bert Verhees - If you have any questions about using this list, please send a message to d.lloyd at openehr.org
