All,

I know that many of you have already created a userid on the web portal
that is being used for openEHR Change Requests (CRs) and Problem Reports
(PRs).

We have experienced some problems with authorizations etc. on the web
portal but seem to have those issues (mostly) worked out for now. I know
I would personally like them to be a bit more granular but that can wait
until we get everything else working as planned.

Even though you may have already created a userid we would like to have
some consistency in naming so that administration of groups will be less
error prone. We now have the groups ready but we are now asking you to
create a new login using the format; firstname_lastname. For instance
my userid was twcook. It will now be tim_cook. I apologize to those
whose names do not normally follow the forename_sirname conventions. If
there is a problem with this please let me know and we will work
something out. If you are normally known by initials then please use the
same format. In my case I would have used tw_cook.

Note that the information on the Join form has been update to explain
this as well.

For your convenience you may click on that link to go straight to the
form to create your new userid. Remember that all userids and
passwords are case sensitive. After you create your new userid you may
still use your old one to access CRs/PRs. The new userids will be added
to the groups in preparation for the switch-over on 14 September, 2005.

If you have content in your user folder and need it moved please send me
an email with both userids and I will move that content for you. This
does not apply to any CR/PR work you have done.

On September 14, 2005 I will remove all userids that do not conform to
the new format. Your new userid will be properly assigned to the
group(s) you are working in and will become your new login. You should
be sure to change your password on the new userid or at least not lose
the email sent to you that includes the new password. There is no way
for us to recover your password but we can generate a new one if you
have trouble logging in.

Thanks for your assistance in getting this operating smoothly.

Regards,
--
Tim Cook
