Hi Malcom,
I just installed wget-1.9 from source and it
runs correctly on Mac OS X.
However, I still get some errors as shown below. What could the reason
be?

Hi,
Openembedded builds it’s own version of the commands – that’s what
the –native packages are for. It does not use the host system’s git
command – it may be an unsupported version.
There is no wget-native package so openembedded has to use the host
systems wget to fetch packages. In fact you can see in your log that
openembedded is trying to fetch the native version of the quilt
command.
I would try installing the wget command and then seeing how far the
OpenEmbedded build system gets – it may fetch and install the git
command for it’s own use.
