Well, this has one important hurdle to overcome, so far: server-side lives inside a transaction, client-side use a separate transaction per RPC call. Unless you solve that, they cannot become consistent. Hint: see the XML-RPCv2, RPC-JSON protocols -- Say NO to spam and viruses.
