It kind of amazes me that the 2.3 beta upgrade discussion continues. I am stuck with a partially functional 2.2 system (either I get iSCSI or the IGB driver in kernel, I can't seem to get both, the current unpinned kernel is stuffed from an IET perspective). I know beta users have both, but they get to live with the prospect of upgrading after the final release.
I have posted in every forum thread relevent, here in the mailing list and on some third party forums with OpenFiler threads. Everyone who replies has similar concerns but there is nothing but silence from those in the know. A simple 'no you can't upgrade' is better than the current silent treatment. > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:openfiler-users- > [EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Gianpaolo Racca > Sent: Tuesday, 24 June 2008 14:26 PM > To: [email protected] > Subject: Re: [OF-users] how to update from 2.3RC to 2.3 final > > Alle Monday 23 June 2008, hai scritto: > > Gianpaolo Racca wrote: > > > #conary updateall > > > I received an error regarding the kernel update. > > > > Could you post the error log pls. > > This is the error: > > ============================================= > The following dependencies would no longer be met after this update: > > glibc:devel=2.3.6-8.9-1 (Already Installed) requires: > trove: linux-kernel-headers:devel > which was provided by: > linux-kernel-headers:devel=2.4-9-0.1 (Erased) > =============================================== > > _______________________________________________ > Openfiler-users mailing list > [email protected] > https://lists.openfiler.com/mailman/listinfo/openfiler-users _______________________________________________ Openfiler-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.openfiler.com/mailman/listinfo/openfiler-users
