For once the media hype is actually working in our favor. How many times
have we in the States seen a minor problem, certainly serious and
occasionally life-threatening, get pushed to the point where it seems like
it is the end of global civilization as we know it? Microsoft and the
global press has hyped OSS and Linux to the point that no reasonable
expectation can be obtained from it.
It seems at this point that the small fear of Microsoft of OSS is becoming a
self-forfeiting nightmare as more and more attention is focused on it.
