HTML is *most* friendly for the prpose of abstract / article submission. It prevents people from stupid choices re dozens of different fonts etc. and offers anything an abstract author can possibly want for formatting (unless he needs math notation etc): Well defined headers, paragraph separation, tables, ordered and unordered lists, the usual bold, italics, underlined - what more would you need? If you throw in proper CSS, you get very close to what you can do with PDF Horst -- A non-free program is a predatory social system that keeps people in a state of domination and division, and uses the spoils to dominate more. -- Richard Stallman
