Hi Andres,

Thanks for the posting, but I am not sure if this is the appropriate
forum. I suggest that follow-up emails be posted in other appropriate
forums or directly between us.

OpenEMR now has accounting and document management features. For
accounting, OpenEMR notes the current accounts receivable by payer and
patient, allows EOB entry, accounts receivable reports, patient balances
and other typical accounting for medical. It is not a full accounting
system. This is accounting related to your medical billings, much like
you would find with Medical Manager, Centricity, NextGen or other
proprietary applications.

All accounting features are in Subversion for download. EzyBiz handles
the accounting. We have two clinics using these features.

For medical billing, OpenEMR currently supports two clearinghouses and
Medi-Cal. OpenEMR is close to supporting Medicare of California
(NHIC). After several test submissions, few minor changes remain to
support Medicare of California (NHIC). We anticipate OpenEMR will
support Medicare of California (NHIC) next week. Medi-Cal and the
clearinghouses allow FTP uploads. Medicare requires a modem.

The technology department of a western State recommended OpenEMR for the
State's Departments of Health. We are meeting with that State tomorrow
to discuss our services and the use of OpenEMR with two of its Health
Departments. One Health Department has close to 300 providers, and the
other approximately 150 providers.

Sincerely,
Walt
