England and Wales' NHS prescriptions are provided, nowadays as single sheet 
and with a serial that includes a terminal check digit.

I've found that one has to write positioning for each printer and it works 
well if one sends the text to it, as though it is a file.  I don't imagine 
that is easy  to do with a browser.

I suppose producing a config file that describes the elements of a 
prescription and gives the coordinates to put them on would allow some 
generalisation of these things.
