David has presented a proposal for discussion. It is not an openID spec, it is not part of a WG or covered under openID IPR.
I hope the appropriate work groups are chartered quickly so that this and other contributions can be accepted for consideration. I am assuming David and Facebook intend to contribute this to the OIDF WG process. I commend David for the work he has put in on this. I know the people at Google have been working on a similar proposal. The Artifact Binding for openID 2.0 WG is chartered and has produced several drafts. We are keeping a close eye on these proposals but can't abandon openID 2.0 compatibility. I have been on a plane from Santiago to LA since David released his discussion document. Once I get to SF tonight I look forward to having more time to review it, before IIW starts tomorrow. We still have a ways to go before we have a final openID vNext spec. John B.
