Having been a corporate spokesperson for the Ws-Security launch, I
have a rather different take.

The message has to come first. If you get the message right then the
media will pick someone to be their favorite messenger. If the message
is confused or compromised by hidden agendas then no messenger is
going to help. It is not as if there has been a shortage of people
volunteering for the position.

My view of what we are attempting to do is to develop the equivalent
infrastructure for resolving principals (i.e. users and user like
agents) to the infrastructure that Web 1.0 provided for resolving
document like resources.

I would avoid any mention of the term 'identity' as no two people in
this group seem to have the same idea of what the term means and
nobody in the media has a clue
