Speaking from a user's perspective: I think this control is great and
I'd love to see it being part of OL. I can see many use cases for it,
especially for mobile web apps.

I have created an OpenLayers control

that is using the Geolocation API

Could you let me know if this would make sense to integrate such a
control in the OpenLayers control repository ? If yes, I can
provide a patch, create unit tests and create a ticket.
