It's possible to setup the timeout. I have just changed it to 5s and added a waiting dialog. Of what I have tested, Chrome seems a bit better than Firefox in that regard. Cédric 2011/1/23 Kris Geusebroek <kgeusebr...@xebia.com<mailto:kgeusebr...@xebia.com>> Hi Cedric, When using the demo the feedback i get is 'the browser timed out ...' it shows this message very fast. I'm using firefox. So i was not able to really give you more feedback. I agree with Roald that this kind of control could really b useful. Do I have missed a discussion or is this kind of control totally out of scope ? Hope to hear from you, Thanks, Cédric 2011/1/16 Cédric MOULLET <cedric.moul...@gmail.com<mailto:cedric.moul...@gmail.com>> Dear developers, I have created an OpenLayers control<http://trac.geoext.org/browser/sandbox/cmoullet/ux/GeolocationAPI/lib/GeoExt.ux/control/GeolocationAPI.js> that is using the Geolocation API<http://dev.w3.org/geo/api/spec-source.html>. A demo is here<http://goo.gl/tTTjp> and some explanations are here<http://goo.gl/ST1NK>. Could you let me know if this would make sense to integrate such a control in the OpenLayers control repository ? If yes, I can provide a patch, create unit tests and create a ticket.
