I have not tried the Plan A Meeting, but the way I recreated this issue is
through going in the calendar and creating an event in the future. In this
event that's created, I added a reminder as "simple e-mail" and added
external e-mail addresses for invitees. I just tried this same thing again
yesterday with the latest release 1.8.5 and got the same multiple e-mail
reminders. With yesterday's test, I only invited my e-mail address and the
internal admin user I created. I still received around 10 e-mails.
Something else I just noticed. Through the process above, if I set the
reminder to "none" the e-mail link for external e-mail addresses/users are
not sent out. So if these users are not in the system, they won't be able
to get into the conference room. This seems to be tied to this reminder
e-mail issue.
