Do you mean configuring that up in TCL code of "reset-init" or directly 
in OpenOCD code?

The first case has a flaw that it would be very good to revert to 
standard settings after flashing so that the chip could be still 
considered "reset and halted"... Maybe gdb-flash-write-start / 
gdb-flash-write-end events, but that would work only with GDB... Maybe 
OpenOCD could have "flash-write" event, not related to GDB?

The second one on the other hand probably would not be liked by people 
who want OpenOCD to do nothing more than it's asked to do...
