I was thinking about the same thing a while ago - all interface 
specifics should be in TCL (pinout, resets, polarity etc.) - the only 
thing hard to do there are things as blinking diodes etc. but it can be 
somehow standarized - this way OpenOCD would support all interfaces 
through config files only without any changes in source code...

I'll take a look, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to run that under 
Windows ); libusb-1.0 is an unknown land for me at this moment...
