You are indeed right that I am not using OpenOCD (or libusb, or libusb-win32) to get real job done. I am a HW engineer by trade. Still I think most of the people using OpenOCD to get real job done will not want to build from source. They would like to get a nicely done binary package. That is why Freddie Choppin's OpenOCD binary is popular. I can see the download for OpenOCD 0.8.0 binary is more than 19,000. http://www.freddiechopin.info/en/download/category/4-openocd > I do not understand why would anyone use windows at all without > something sane to manage packages. mingw-get used to be the thing, but > it makes little sense now. Now OpenOCD does not have a official Windows binary and that is why Freddie Choppin's binary download is popular. The talk of MSYS2 is missing the point for Windows users of OpenOCD. That is geared toward Windows developer or packager of OpenOCD, not the end users of OpenOCD. That is why libusb project provides official Windows binary. -- Xiaofan ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Dive into the World of Parallel Programming.
