Exactly, thanks for the logs. I have an impression handling of srst with stlinkv1 was broken since long and the discovery board config change uncovered that. For the release, I propose to simply remove reset_config srst_only from stm32vldiscovery.cfg, please check if that helps. A proper fix will need attention of someone who has stlinkv1 and wants to work on the fix.
