Dear friends,

Huiren Woo's term as an Open Organization Ambassador comes to a close on
Wednesday, May 31. Huiren has been an outstanding member of our
community since May 2016, when he joined our group as a student of
information technology. Now graduated (congrats!), Huiren is preparing
for his next adventure in the Singaporean military.

Huiren's story is a compelling one: He discovered the world of open
source through _The Open Organization_, and subsequently dove into the
global community headfirst [1]. As both a Fedora Ambassador and an Open
Organization Ambassador, Huiren truly embodies the notion that openness
is both _technical_ and _cultural_—that promoting greater and better
openness requires dual emphasis on _tools_ as well as _principles_.

His work underscores this. Since joining our group, Huiren has published
five excellent articles for Opensource.com [2]. His reflection on open
leadership, "How to recognize an open leader when you see one,"
reappeared as part of _The Open Organization Leaders Manual_ [3].
Moreover, Huiren has been (and continues to be) a curious inquisitor,
interviewing various open leaders to better understand the ways openness
is changing traditional perspectives on management.

But this is not so much a case of "goodbye" and it is "see you soon";
beginning May 31, Huiren will transition to a Supporter role as per the
provisions outlined in v2.0 of the Open Organization Ambassador program
[4]. He's also actively working on two (!!) more articles for
Opensource.com. He remains (will always remain) a part of our community.

Please join me in thanking Huiren for all his hard work and
dedication—and wishing him all the best in his future endeavors.

Thank you, Ambassador Woo!

Sincerely,
Bryan
