If you look at the source tree some things unable to make Asterisk due
to licensing have been added and been worked on.
Chan_exosip/automake/transition to SpanDSP for DSP functions/Parts of
T38 etc. Unfortunately since many of us work on this as time permits
it hasn't been finish up to the point where it can be released as a
tarball for general consumption. No end user is going to learn SVN
just to download the sourcecode that's a give.

This thread was created to address the status and desire/goals moving
forward. Since the end of 05 to now things have slowed drasticly due
to day jobs/holidays etc. This has caused the project lead Marc
Olivier Chouinard to look for someone to be in charge of getting the
first release out the door. I personally have offered to take such
role both privately and publicly on this thread. Nothing definative
that I know of has been decided at this junction. So best to wait and
see.
