Hi all Lately, there have been some talks about a name change, and some have suggested this to add funding to the project. This is all well, but there has also been talks of someone initiating a takeover for reasons unknown or untold. There were arguments about the lack of stability of trac, and I myself was pretty pissed off for not getting the svn account I was promised. Currently, though, I don't see these problems.
Personally, I beleive in this project. We have a pretty stable codebase and enough functionality/features. What we need now, is a open and democratic organization to deal with what should go in and what should not. In case we get funding, a commitee should decide what should be prioritised. We also need guidelines for everything from coding standards to project goals. I beleive this is quite similar to what moc proposed to the list january 24, and this should not be recognised as an opposition to the proposal of his. roy --- I encrypt all my email with ROT-13 - TWICE!
