Hi List.

I'm using Asterisk 1.2.10 for some time now...no T.38 support, so I'm trying
OpenPBX.

>From the doc, it appears that I need T38Gateway(). Or do I. The doc isn't
>clear to me as to what application is used for the Gateway function. Here's

Real-Fax-Machine  <-RJ11->  Sipura 1001 (ATA)   <-IP->  OpenPBX <-T1/PRI-> PSTN

I want to stick an ATA converter between existing phycial Fax machines and get
the stream to the PSTN.

Questions:

1) Will OpenPBX 1.2 RC3 support T.38 gateway to the PSTN or do I need svn?

2) Will the configuration above, real-fax-machine to the PSTN work?

3) Is anyone doing something like this?

Side note: I'm using CentOS4.4; downloaded svn and ./bootstrap.sh yells about
libtoolize at version 1.5.6 and needing 1.5.20 (or above). I find 1.5.22 on
gnu (http://www.gnu.org/software/libtool/) but no way to "yum" in that version.
 Needless to say, I'm no Linux expert. Is it better to go to Ubuntu or stay
with CentOS?

Thanks,

Jon
