And finally, I have compiled
codec_ilbc onto openpbx...
If anyone needs to know how, just let me know. It is a patient work
using diff between 1953-RC1 and 1.2_rc3 versions, some use of vi and
some other of cp, but it works. I will go on with my tests and will let
you know. As the first point, I will thoroughly test T38 compatibility
between Grandstream HT models and openpbx, including passing faxes to
PSTN via a CedarPoint Safari C3 softswitch.
Thanks to all for their support. Regards.

Compile it, then you should have
this file, /opt/openpbx.org/lib/modules/codec_ilbc.so, do a show codecs
in the CLI after starting the
daemon. AFAIK, this codec was not removed from the dist or at least was
not
notified in the -dev list.

Subject: Re: [Openpbx-users] Need to compile codec_ilbc
Dear Jeff,
I cannot manage to get RC1 from openpbx.org, since I receive a 'Not
Found' message when I follow its download link. The reason I need to
have ILBC support is that we use Grandstream HandyTone models as
customer equipment and they do support ILBC. I have no other choice,
since I cannot use g729 or g723 due to commercial licensing issues. I
have ILBC running on several asterisk boxes with this equipment, having
a more-than-reasonable performance.
Thanks four your interest!

Jeff,
I see codec_ilbc.c in source_tree/codecs/ dir and several calls to
ILBC in corelib/ dir files. Is there any chance to compile it? If it
does not, I am afraid I will have to finish my tests on it.
You must have an older version of OpenPBX. ILBC was removed just after
RC1 was released, so it shouldn't show up in RC2 or later or in SVN.
Is there a reason that you require ILBC and can't use another codec?
Jeff
