Although we've still a few important TODO points left
before we can make OpenPKG 2.0 (see "FIXME" entries in
http://cvs.openpkg.org/getfile?f=openpkg-re/news.txt), we now have to
start fixing all CORE, BASE and PLUS packages in preparation for the
OpenPKG 2.0 release engineering phase which will start in November.

Our "build farm" was re-activated and is now (as always before a release
engineering phase) constantly building OpenPKG-CURRENT packages
(currently all package classes except for JUNK). The current status you
can find under http://www.openpkg.org/status.cgi

The OpenPKG development team will focus on fixing all CORE, BASE and
PLUS packages and as much as possible EVAL packages during the next
weeks. Anybody else also can help out here. Just send the necessary hint
or even patch to [EMAIL PROTECTED] for fixing a package which is
flagged "red" on the status page.

Also, if you want to see additional packages rolled or if you would
like to have additional build %options or whatever type of change
for the OpenPKG 2.0 release, please act _NOW_ and give this feedback
to us. Then there is certainly a chance for consideration and perhaps
inclusion into the next release. For this just fill out the OpenPKG
Community Feedback form under http://www.openpkg.org/feedback.html or at
least drop us on [EMAIL PROTECTED] a note. Thanks.
