I have submitted an amanda-2.4.4p2 package for your perusal.  If you 
would like to test it, you can follow the documentation at the 
www.amanda.org site.  There is no need to have a tape drive, if you 
follow the instructions in the

%l_prefix%/share/amanda/HOWTO-FILE-DRIVER

file, you can create directories that act as tapes.
