Ok, I've taken over this. I've now also made TIFF support optional and
added optional GIF support, too.

Keep in mind that the contrib/00UPLOAD area also accepts plain xxxx.spec
files, too. So, if you just want to contribute a changed xxxx.spec file,
you alternatively can just upload this single small file.
