Hi Pete, Not everyone agrees with the way we do it, but we change the date each time we put a new version in SVN. It helps track when people report bugs. It would be good to pick that up automatically, but I don't know how to do that in autoconf. There is another hitch, which is that there are two configure.ac's to change, one in the main directory and one in the target test code directory. That's something that needs fixing - I knew less about autotools when I put stuff together. Once you've changed the date, run autoreconf to regenerate the configure files.
