It should work just fine under x64 as well. If the crash is repeatable on x86 as well would be an important piece of information. I'll try to test if this happens with other cards as well.

It depends on the version you had installed before and is a no-issue for the current snapshot. WeirdThings are supposed to happen to an installer in development, you should always manually uninstall an *experimental* nightly snapshot, just to be sure. If you can repeat it with the latest nightly snapshot, it would be an issue.
