Thanx a lot for committing the changes.

I tried the standard loader again, and it work's with transparent
.png textures. I don't know what we have done wrong before...

Hello again,

First of all, thanks for the quick reply and changes.
I checked out and compiled (again) today with gv-beta.
Unfortunately I cant see a modulation effect when setting a material.
Textures are applied always in REPLACE mode...

I am not setting a light in the VRML file, but use only the SceneManager light, may that be a problem ?

normally not, I'll have a look, but it might take a short amount of time
as I have to recompile this loader.

ok, looking at the code was enough. It seems to be a bug of the loader,
is there a reason you switched ??. I'll try to fix this as soon as
possible. Hope you can stay with the old loader until than.

I switched to the experimental, beacuse the standard loader doesnt't handle transparent .png right (no transpareny...)? Or is my student doing something wrong ? ;) And what about LOD?

So i would be really happy to see the exp loader handling lit and unlit materials!

for textures it should work now I just commited the changes. Sorry for
the delay.

Three engineers, a mechanical engineer, an electrical engineer, and a
civil engineer, are arguing about the nature of God.

The mechanical engineer says, "God must be a mechanical engineer. Look
at the human body and what a marvel of mechanical engineering it is.
The way the bones, muscles, tendons, and ligaments all work together
shows that God is a mechanical engineer."

The electical engineer says, "No, you're wrong. God must be an
electrical engineer. Look at the nerves, spinal cord, and brain, and
how they control the bones and muscles, and you will be convinced that
God is an electrical engineer."

The civil engineer says, "You're both wrong. God MUST be a civil
engineer, because who else but a civil engineer would consider putting a
waste disposal pipeline through a recreational area."
