The depth sorting is based on just transforming the center of the
bounding volume of the core by the product of its toWorld and the
Camera's modelview matrix. This should work fine with a MatrixCamera,
under the assumption that the projection part of the Camera really only
contains the projection and no other transformation (like a rotation or
translation).

Where do you get your projection matrix from?
