could you please run this in a debugger and post the backtrace, so we
can get a better idea of where the problem originates.

I think there was (is?) a problem with the type registration mechanism,
but I can't recall the details. So yes, it might not be related to your
widgets.

I don't have Qt 4, maybe someone else can comment on this.
