Hi,
I've heard that OpenSG 2.0 could be released around August this year. So I'm
wondering: is this realistic? If not, how close is it to be released?
We're starting a long term project using OpenSG. What we don't know is if we
should begin it with 1.8 or 2.0.
If we begin it with 2.0, when will cluster support be available on this
version? When will a complete support to VBO be available?
Also, we've tested an integration with VTK that comes with
2.0(contributions part), which is essencial to our project. Any plans
for it to
work in a cluster?
If we decide to begin it with 1.8, how easy it will be to port it to 2.0?

I echo your questions and some of your concerns.
We are currently using OpenSG 2.0 is 3 production projects and although
it is working well, it could work much better. IMHO, we will see OpenSG
2.0 really come into it's own as soon as the OpenSG 1.x branch of
development is closed and all developers move over to 2.0. I would like
to see this change happen very soon.
