Thank you for the hint, I think using the PolygonChunk is the right way 
for me to go. If I got it right the PC needs to be applied to each 
material or to a material group. Is there an easy way to apply the PC to 
the whole scene without the need to duplicate and modify each material 
(apply the PC to the existing materials)?
