my example was the part that does not come "precooked" as part of DIVA
and that would be the file that is most likely to be stomped on by the
config.exe (myworlds.ini overrides the other config files)

Ah I see, does config.exe take Myworld.ini and read that to place its contents into the OpenSim.ini and DivaPreferences.ini files? So its just used that once. So Myworld.ini is not used live during a run of OpenSim.exe?

-----

The standard OpenSim.ini already loads addon .ini files from path bin/addon-modules/*/config/*.ini

If the Wifi module is placed in addon-modules and there is a separate Wifi.ini in there it might all work fine. The current binary Diva distribution places the modules directly in bin just now - but it looks like Diva is planning in her master (not yet released).

The Wiki page and a generic setup that can be placed into any type of OpenSim (much like Diva already did with the metaverse ink search and image services) would be a better basis to try to generalise this. Diva can advise when would be a good time to help test and help her with this module which I think will be useful for some small to medium grids.

Some sort of refactoring of the other optional/add-on modules and their OpenSim.ini sections to move all the non-core stuff in there (like FreeSwitchVoice, offline IM, groups support) to bin/add-ons may even be sensible one day?
