Sorry that you had a bad experience running OpenSimulator under Linux. I'm not sure of the particulars in your situation, but this is not generally the case. Many people, including myself, run on Linux 100% of the time without issue. I am happy that you have found a working environment for your simulators and that it is serving you well. But, it would be irresponsible of me to let the statement that running OpenSimulator on a Linux platform does not work go unchallenged. I'm not interested in starting a holy war about which OS is better because that is a personal decision. But, I do not want people looking for information about getting started with OpenSiumulator to find such statements about and be led to think that an OpenSimulator/Linux solution is unworkable. It works very well for multitudes of people. And if a person is inclined to run Linux there is nothing to prevent them from having an excellent experience.
