I wonder if anyone has tried linking a Chatterbot (e.g. ALICE) into this? I have played with this capability using Radegast and it can give some very nice results - particularly if the "human" participants have had a few drinks IRL :-)
It does seem like a natural combination for all kinds of potential NPC applications. My goal is to do something like populating a village/school/playground with characters who can hold some sort of conversation. BDSM role play is another possibility, where yo have a "dungeon" with many victims who could be lamenting their fate, trying to escape or whatever. Having characters that can actually converse in some limited way add a whole new dimension!
