I need to convert a RAW file (.f32 format, according to the OS wiki) to a raster bitmap that can be edited using GIMP then convert it back into an OS compatible RAW format. Actually converting it back wouldn't matter so much in this case, as I could just upload it as a heightmap via the console. I would prefer a GIMP plugin for convenience sake, of course, but not mandatory. Have tried the UFRaw plugin, but it doesn't support .f32.
Have also tried ImageMagik, but with the same results. There are about another half-dozen (free/open) in the list on Wikipedia, but I'd rather not trial-and-error them all :) Anyone know how this can be done?
