Hallo, while I understand the need for a common currency in the Grid, I would much prefer a currency that integrates seamlessly into the system and allows me to use the inherent mechanisms of the client and the server to initiate transfers (esp. for scripts and landsales). OMC does not solve this for me in a satisfying way. I have written a similar system for our world (contact me if you are interested). But it requires me to completely rewrite of the payment modules of the vending system I wrote for SL.
I am much more interested in a solution like the nls-moneyserver, but then again we would need a centralized entity to adminisrtate the central server. A difficult situation and at one point I think we will have that entity with all its advantages and drawbacks. Right now I do not think that the time is right for a step like that.
