others think.  It's a good point that some of our experiences with
Linden Lab and other "banks" involved with Second Life have taught us
  valuable lessons.  Anyone remember GOM and Ginko?

Having said that, I find Bitcoin's distributed and decentralized
philosophy both interesting and worrisome.  Lack of centralization
sounds like a good thing, but lack of accountability not so much.

...and, in the long run, if one gets robbed, then the effort were best directed to other pursuits in the first place. OpenSim would be well advised to steer clear of this one. One good lawyer would own this place. And, all of those originally in favor of it would scatter like chickens. Ric
