This problem comes from the viewers, this is due to the difficulty of
calculating a correct attitude of the avatar when the surface on which it rests
is too irregular. The same problem exists when the avatar is standing on a
field with too sharp heights, as well as some sculpties or some meshes.
Perhaps we should consider that this particular position of the legs is the
translation of the expression "to come a cropper" or "to plotz" :))

Subject: [Opensim-users] crowded avatars cause jumping behavior
Why, when a group of avatars all crowd into the corner of a room and push
each other "hard," do some of the avatars pop up and 1) stand on each other's
shoulders? And, 2) why do the avatars that jumped up in this uncontrolled way
have their legs bend up like "hair pins" or "paper clips?"
