I'm rather surprised - on 64 bit you should be able to access more than 4GB on mono and .net (assuming you are running
OpenSim.exe and not OpenSim.32BitLaunch.exe).
On unix, you will also want to check that ulimit isn't limiting the amount of memory or other resources that a process
can take up.
