Thank you, Richard,
Are you able to think of a differentiator that is pertinent to the problem,
however?
I discovered the trouble after noticing the imprints of footprints on the
surface of the ground where the "below ground avatars" were supposed to be
"above the ground."

if you read the comments in the ini file then you see that that option is
only for prims.
;# {DisableUndergroundMovement} {} {Disable underground movement of
prims} {true false} true
;; Disable underground movement of prims (default true); set to
;; false to allow script controlled underground positioning of
;; prims
; DisableUndergroundMovement = true
SO, im not suprissed its failing for avatar :O

Dear Devs and Users,
In spite of having <DisableUndergroundMovement = True> in my configs, I
have avatar(s) intermittently transitioning to, and moving about, below the
ground. That is, they literally transition for no (yet) apparent reason
between the above ground and the below ground states. They are NOT inverted.
A "Show Users" console dump does not give any clue about a >2 meter
"shortage" of avatar Z-coordinate. Advanced:Rendering:Wireframe allows the
CLEAR DISPLAY of the errant avi.
Does anyone have a suggestion or a repair/patch?
Cheers,
Chris
