'slptool findsrvtypes' seems to work the same, tho without the scope-ing, I'd
guess.

On NetWare tho, one can get a listing of "everything" (services, url's) with
something like
'display slp services'.

That would be a "nice touch" for us dinosaurs.

Try using 'slptool -s <scope-list> findsrvtypes' - this should list all the
services (service types) in the specified scopes. Then you can use 'slptool
-s <scope-list> findsrvs ' to get the URL, and 'slptool findattrs
<service-URL>' to get the attributes, if any.

You should be able to get a list of available scopes using 'slptool
findscopes'.

The above works fine on our RedHat Linux systems running a recent snapshot
from the SVN trunk.

An excellent question.

I believe there is no "wildcard" in slptool, as in NetWare, where one can
list all known services. If there is, I would certainly like to be
enlightened.

Seems on has to know the service one is looking for, in order to display it.
Sort of a "Catch-22" seems to me.

I am trying to integrate a Linux box with an existing Novell network,
the architecture of which I know little about. Can slptool be used to
suss out information about Netware services on the network? I believe
that there are directory agents on the network; running slpinfo /d under
windows reports several ip addresses.

Thanks,
Jay
