Forgive my ignorance, but how do slptool and slpd interact? Does slpd sit there listening for broadcasts about what other hosts on the net offer, and then slptool asks it what it has seen? Or does slptool broadcast a message asking "what's out there", which may get several responses, including from the local slpd if it has anything to advertise? Or is it a little of both, or something else entirely?
